Justice and Human Rights

The Justice and Human Rights Department’s vision of rule of law is built on the solid grounds of a fair, accessible and predictable justice delivery system, which effectively safeguards fundamental human rights.

The Department develops and implements activities in several areas, crucial for the fulfilment of its vision: Human Rights, Access to Justice, and Criminal Justice.

Program Activities in 2015
The current program activities are well-cemented, but still mobile bricks in a unique ensemble of a three-year intervention strategy: although the activities have been thoroughly developed in advance, they might be substantially changed for adequately answering to changing social and political contexts.

The Justice Program partners with national institutions, such as Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Internal Affairs, General Inspectorate of Police, General Prosecutor’s Office, Superior Council of Magistracy, National Legal Aid Council, as well as civil society organizations active in justice sector and human rights such as Legal Resources Centre from Moldova, Amnesty International Moldova, Norwegian Mission of Rule of Law Advisers to Moldova, American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative Moldova and other interested parties.
